With an unrelenting focus on achieving zero harm, their safety and environment performance is a leading indicator of how they are running their business. The greater the degree of planned work and stable operations, the safer their workforce will be.

As part of a safety philosophy to improve their ability to anticipate and prevent harm to their people, in 2006 this organisation partnered with Romteck to institutionalise OSPAT.

Romteck’s OSPAT Consulting team worked closely with this organisation to gain a complete understanding of the company’s objectives and requirements to deliver OSPAT.

Over the course of 10 weeks, an implementation plan was executed with regular checkpoints to ensure sufficient time was spent engaging all key stakeholders and that the assignment remained on target. Following a rigorous change management process, OSPAT was tested and transitioned into operation successfully.

Since the inception of OSPAT, this organisation’s lost time injury frequency rate, with the exception of 2010 and 2011 where it remained the same, has consistently improved.
